Hosting The hosting services we use provide the following services: infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services, as well as technical maintenance services that we utilize for the operation of the website. We and/or our hosting provider process user data based on our legitimate interest in the efficient and secure provision of this website according to Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR.

Access Data We collect information about you when you use this website. We automatically collect information about your usage behavior and your interaction with us and log data about your computer or mobile device. We collect, store, and use data on every access to our online offering (so-called server log files). The access data includes:

  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Date and time of the retrieval
  • Transferred data volume
  • Message about successful retrieval (HTTP response code)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL (i.e., the previously visited page)
  • Websites accessed by the user’s system via our website
  • Internet service provider of the user
  • IP address and the requesting provider

We use this log data without assigning it to you personally or profiling it for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, ensuring the security of, and optimizing our online offering. This also includes anonymous recording of the number of visitors to our website (traffic) as well as the extent and type of use of our website and services. Based on this information, we can provide personalized and location-based content and improve our services. This also constitutes our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.

We reserve the right to review log data retrospectively if there are specific indications of illegal use. We store IP addresses in log files for a limited period if this is necessary for security purposes. We also store IP addresses if we have a concrete suspicion of a crime in connection with the use of our website. Additionally, we store the date of your last visit as part of your account (e.g., during registration, login, clicking links, etc.).

Cookies We use so-called session cookies to optimize our online offering. A session cookie is a small text file sent by the respective servers when visiting a website and temporarily stored on your hard drive. This file as such contains a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the shared session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. These cookies are deleted after you close your browser.

We also use persistent cookies (also small text files stored on your device), which remain on your device and allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit. These cookies are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after a set period of time. Their lifespan ranges from 1 month to 10 years. This allows us to present our offering in a more user-friendly, effective, and secure way and, for example, display information tailored to your interests on the site.

Our legitimate interest in the use of cookies under Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR is to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. The following data and information are stored in the cookies:

  • Log-in information
  • Language settings
  • Entered search terms
  • Information about the number of visits to our website and the use of individual functions of our internet presence

When activating the cookie, it is assigned an identification number, but your personal data is not assigned to this identification number. Your name, IP address, or similar data that would allow the cookie to be assigned to you is not stored in the cookie. Based on the cookie technology, we only receive pseudonymized information.

A general objection to the use of cookies used for online marketing purposes can be declared for many of the services, especially in the case of tracking, via the U.S. site [http://www.aboutads.info/choices/] or the EU site [http://www.youronlinechoices.com/]. You can configure your browser to inform you in advance about the setting of cookies and decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept cookies in certain cases or generally exclude them or prevent them completely. This may limit the functionality of the website.

Email Contact
If you contact us (e.g., via a contact form or email), we store your information to process the inquiry and in case there are follow-up questions.
We only store and use other personal data if you consent to this or if this is legally permissible without special consent.

Transfer to Third Countries
The collected data may be transferred to the following third countries: None.

Storage Duration
Unless specifically stated, we only store personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes pursued.
The data we process will be deleted or restricted in accordance with Articles 17 and 18 of the GDPR. Unless otherwise explicitly stated in this privacy policy, we delete the stored data once it is no longer necessary for its intended purpose, provided there are no legal retention obligations. If the data is not deleted because it is required for other and legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted. That is, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to data that must be retained for commercial or tax reasons.

Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google has submitted to and certified itself under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement. This obliges Google to comply with the standards and regulations of European data protection law. More information can be found at the following link: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active.
Google Analytics uses “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Our legitimate interest in using Google Analytics is based on Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.
In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will truncate your IP address within member states of the European Union or other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. IP anonymization is active on this website. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that if you do this, you may not be able to fully use all the functions of this website.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being sent to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)
The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a consistent and attractive presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR. Google Web Fonts do not store any cookies and do not transmit any information about the visitor’s Google account. No user tracking occurs via this method.

Use of Google Maps
We use the services of Google Maps on this website. Google Maps is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and provides convenient use of the map function.

If you are logged into Google, your data is directly assigned to your account.
If you do not want this data to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research, and/or needs-based design of its websites. Such evaluation takes place even for users who are not logged in, particularly to provide personalized advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, although you must contact Google to exercise this right.

If you have given us consent, you can revoke it at any time with future effect.
You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority at any time, e.g., the supervisory authority of the federal state of your residence or the authority responsible for us.
A list of supervisory authorities (for the non-public sector) with addresses can be found at: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Service/Anschriften/Laender/Laender-node.html.

Right to Object on a Case-by-Case Basis
You have the right to object, for reasons arising from your particular situation, at any time to the processing of your personal data based on Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR (data processing based on a balancing of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 4 GDPR.
If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing is for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
